Recipes — Crafting Guide

870 recipes on the server · 736 dwarven and 134 common

With a recipe registered in your book, you turn materials into weapons, armor, jewels, shots, potions, and better materials. Only the Dwarves craft equipment. All races can make the recipes common.

In this guide you'll learn how to register recipes, understand the success chances and MP cost, and check all 870 recipes on the server. The browser has search, filters, and the calculation of the base materials of each recipe.

Recipe Book

  • There's two books: one for dwarf recipes and one for common recipes. To open it, use the skill Create Item or Create Common Item.
  • Each book starts with 50 slots.
  • Register a recipe consumes the item. It stays in the book forever and can be used as many times as you want.
  • You can delete a recipe from the book to free up space, but it's lost for good.

Single use Recipes that are consumed

447 recipes are single-use: all of the grade B, A, and S, in addition to the common appearance ones (dyes, style potions and head accessories). In these, the recipe itself is used as a material:

  • The recipe needs to be registered in the book.
  • And each crafting consumes one more copy of the recipe from the inventory, like any other material.
  • In practice: to craft a single-use item, you need 2 copies of the recipe (one registered and one consumed). To craft again, just 1 more copy in the inventory is enough.
In the browser below, these recipes have the "Single use" tag.
More space in the book: the skills Expand Dwarven Craft and Expand Common Craft give +6 recipes per level, up to +48. They are bought with Proof of Catching a Fish at the Fishing Guild. See the guide Fishing.

Rules
  • Each crafting consumes the MP of the recipe (30 to 225).
  • On failure, the materials are lost and the MP too. This includes the recipe copy for single-use ones.
  • You can't craft while fishing, or with the shop locked.
  • You need space and weight limit for the crafted item.
Recipes 60% × 100%: many B, A and S grade items exist in both versions. The 60% one tends to be easier to get, but you risk the materials on every attempt.

Private Workshop

Dwarves can open a private workshop (Private Manufacture): they pick recipes from the book and charge a fee in adena. The buyer brings the materials, and the dwarf crafts using their own MP and skill.

  • It's the way for those who aren't Dwarves to get crafted weapons and armor.
  • The success chance and the material loss on failure are worth the same.
  • With the .offline, the workshop stays open while you're offline.

Materials

Materials are divided into four groups:

Basics

Stem, Iron Ore, Coal, Animal Bone, Varnish, Thread, Suede, and others. They drop from monsters, via drop, spoil, or Manor.

Intermediates

Steel, Leather, Cokes, Braided Hemp, Oriharukon, Mithril Alloy, Crafted Leather and others. They are crafted by the Dwarves from the basics.

Key pieces

Blades, Heads, Fabric, Parts, Gemstones and Crystals. They come from spoil and drops and are specific to each item.

Molds and tools

Molds, Anvils, Holders, and Frames. High-level materials, also crafted.

Tips

  • Plan the intermediaries. An A or S grade item can require hundreds of Steel, Leather or Mithril Alloy. Use the base materials calculation before you go hunting.
  • Spoil is craft's partner. Key pieces and most of the materials come from Spoil on Scavengers and Bounty Hunters.
  • The Manor pays in materials. Coal, Mithril Ore, Oriharukon, Enria, Mold Glue… See the guide Manor.
  • Leave room in the book for the recipes you actually use. Deleting a recipe loses the recipe.
  • MP is the Dwarf's limit. Large recipes use up to 225 MP per attempt: keep MP potions or a buffer nearby.
  • Recipes 60%: craft it when you have material to spare. Each failure consumes everything.
